Can I ask a favour please

Coulter and Coulter's online presence for the last year has been via this Blog, with shops on Felt and Etsy.  But now we feel the time is right to have our own on line shop.  I would really appreciate it if you would drop by and take a look at our own website, for me.  I would love to here your feedback, what do you think?  Does it all look homely and cosy?  Is it easy to find what you are looking for?  Don't worry we won't be leaving our blog behind, we will still be posting here  at least once a week.

Thank you.

Kindle pouches and iPad/Tablet sleeves have been rushing out of our virtual shelves this week.

But don't worry, if you have not got yours yet, I will be making more and listing them soon.

The photoshoots and the reality

When I take pictures of our products our house always looks tidy, if a little lived in. I thought you might like a look over my shoulder at the reality. Above is a picture I took today in my workroom of my latest blanket creation, ready to be listed on Felt. Below is what my sewing room really looks like.
My sewing workstation and ever present ironing board.
Piles of fabric all cut out and ready to sew.
And piles of blankets all printed and ready to be finished off or stored away. Not to mention the little fluff bunnies that can build up with in a couple of hours of me cutting and sewing wool blankets. Hope I haven't shocked you too much.

Beautiful Linen

I have been printing on beautiful natural linen, it is such a wonderful fabric to work with. I have printed so far 2m of indigo blue and olive green "Napier Rose". It is available per half metre over in my Felt shop.

Holidays over nose back to the grind stone

Well that's the silly season over for another year, and its nose back to grind stone at Coulter and Coulter. The break has sparked lots of new ideas which will be appearing soon.
Chief block producer, Peter, got involved with the printing. Something he has been keen to do for a while. He insisted that I printed some html tags on his old painting t-shirt. I think this year he might be letting out his inner geek. Be prepared.
The printing results are looking pretty good. Lots of new blankets will be available on my Felt shop in the next couple of weeks.

Vintage fabric Hats

To make our lovely recycled bags, which are given away with purchase instead of brown paper bags, I have been collecting a lot of beautiful vintage fabrics. Trawling the internet and fossicking through op shops - I know, its hard work but somebody has to do it. I have found some really lovely bits and pieces. While sewing up another batch of bags ready for the next craft market I suddenly had an idea. Summer hats, we all need them down here in the Southern hemisphere and what a fantastic use of the oddments of vintage fabrics I have been collecting. Keep an eye on our Felt shop, I will be listing them there in the next couple of days.
