The Finished Print

Here it is the finished print, all the way from a doodle to an amazing block and a beautiful print.  I am really please with the results.  I have printed on an organic cotton duck, quite a heavy weight.  I would like suggestions as to what I could use it for, what do you think?

A few sneaky peaks at up coming projects.

At the moment at Coulter and Coulter there is a lot of preparation work for future projects going on and not a lot of completed projects.  I thought I would share with you a couple of snaps of the projects so far.  The first is a giant pile of unused vintage white cotton that arrived today in a tiny little box.  I am itching to start printing on it, but before I can do the fun part it all needs to be washed, ironed and marked out for printing.

The next two images are just little sneaky snaps.  Can you guess what the projects are?  The one above is probably obvious.  But can you guess what the photo below is all about?

Crisp Cotton Pillowcases

Everyone loves a beautiful crisp white pillowcase, so when I managed to lay my hands on some beautiful vintage cotton I knew straight away what I wanted to make with it.
I really love the way they have all turned out. I am very tempted to just keep the above red flower set. If you would feel tempted too they will all be available for sale over in our Felt shop in the next couple of days.

Organic Cotton Bedding

The first of I hope a wide range of Organic Bedding. This organic cotton duvet cover and pillowcases is hand printed with the Paisley Fern design.

The organic cotton percale used is the softest ever cotton I have worked with.

Latest printing hot off the Coulter and Coulter presses

When I say hot of the presses, I really mean hot of the kitchen table. The latest cold snap which has brought snow to much of New Zealand has perhaps influenced my latest batch of printing. Prompting me to select this warm cherry red to print with. This particular design is called "Imperfect Daisy", like reality it has lumps and bumps.

The print below is "Fern Paisley" looking very much like a french Provencal fabric. This fabric is a heavy organic cotton duck.

The design below looking forward to warmer days is "Wandering Summer', printed on a lovely piece of organic linen.

Part One of this weekends printing

This weekend Peter managed to find time to finish off another couple of blocks. I love this paisley block, the centre of which is a fern. The fabric is a beautiful heavy organic cotton duck. You can buy it over here.
