Take some cotton, a bunch of flowers and a large hammer.....
This week I have been playing about with flowers and a hammer. If you take some petals or leaves, put them between two layers of cotton and then whack them with a large hammer until they are totally squashed, you get ...........
..... the most amazing flower prints on your fabric. Half of the ones I have played about with stayed on the fabric when washed and the other half faded out. I will have to work on that aspect, I will post the results when I get it sorted out.

The Manly Art of Sewing
This may look as if I have been hard at work all day sewing. But don't be fooled I had nothing to do with any of it. In fact I spent the day at the ironing board, setting all the dyes in my recent crop of printing, ready for next weekends market. Peter is the one that has been hard at work, using my back up sewing machine, which he now claims is his. I am just waiting to see how he can customise a sewing machine in a manly way. He has even started on his own fabric stash.
Now apparently there is an art to manly sewing. Which involves spending weeks on research and development out in the garage, trialing different materials. Followed by lots of sitting about drinking tea and thinking. Then days and days of sewing to produce ...............
.......... one Kindle Pouch. It is a very lovely Kindle Pouch and if you would like to purchase it, and be the first to own a Coulter and Coulter Kindle Pouch, you can over in our Felt shop. Hopefully, there will be more produced soon.

Crisp Cotton Pillowcases
Everyone loves a beautiful crisp white pillowcase, so when I managed to lay my hands on some beautiful vintage cotton I knew straight away what I wanted to make with it.
I really love the way they have all turned out. I am very tempted to just keep the above red flower set. If you would feel tempted too they will all be available for sale over in our Felt shop in the next couple of days.

Scrabble Letters, Love Hearts and Poetry
I love the new scrabble cushions I have been making. They can be mixed up to spell anything you would like.
